1 tablespoon fresh, raw pineapple juice from fruit (or substitute lemon juice diluted 50 percent with water)

1 tablespoon sunflower seed meal

RECOMMENDED FOR: oily, combination, normal, environmentally damaged, and oily mature skin (except those types listed in Contraindications on page 175)

USE: 2 times per week if well tolerated

FOLLOW WITH: moisturizer

PREP TIME: approximately 5 to 10 minutes (if meal is ground ahead of time)

BLENDING TOOLS: mortar and pestle, small bowl and spoon

STORE IN: do not store; mix as needed

YIELD: 1 treatment

If using pineapple juice, mash a small amount of fresh, peeled fruit using a mortar and pestle, then strain the juice. In a small bowl, combine ingredients to form a spreadable paste. Adjust the amount of liquid to make the desired consistency.

APPLICATION TIPS: Using your fingers, massage onto the face, throat, and décolleté (if desired). Allow to remain on skin for 10 minutes. Rinse.

CORNMEAL AND HONEY SCRUB

This product leaves skin smooth, soft, and very hydrated. Because this scrub can be a bit runny and sticky, don a shower cap or wrap your hair in a towel before use.
